Here’s my December spread! Watch it unfold in the video above.
Fun with a Trader Joe’s holiday paper bag.
More inside.
Let’s break it down!
This year I went through my Mom’s hand-painted ornament collection and put them all on my tree! She would have loved it and I am glad to be able to do something different this year. I almost didn’t put up a tree! The best part is that her ornaments are all red so it made my tree look kind of pinky this year and that made me happy.
My favorite things from 2024.
I compiled a list and shared my faves.
I released a new print in my Etsy shop. Thank you for not going anywhere!
And a new sticker too! TO DO!
I also did a whole bunch of self-reflection and reconciled the last year. More on that soon.
I went on a Steve Martin bender. I think I wanted to understand my childhood a bit. I watched:
All of Me
Roxanne
While You Were Sleeping
Mad Love
Martha (again!)
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
A Christmas Story
Been reading a lot of reddit and going through my journal for the past year to figure out what the heck happened this year.
Also:
pages from my hobonichi cousin for I LOVE LISTS this month:
52 in total!
listened to my holiday mix when I needed to channel holiday spirit.
On repeat. Hooray for growth.
Also on repeat:
I blame TikTok.
This one helps me function.
I drank a lot of tea this month. Here are all of my favorites if you’re interested.
Brazilian Cheese Bread is now in the rotation!
Made lobster for Christmas Eve at my Dad’s house.
Mom’s sour cream coffee cake too!
Out to dinner with my brother, my niece & her boyfriend!
I made chicken soup!
Sol Food Chicken with mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli is my faaaave.
I am experimenting with chia seeds!
Mmmmm sushi.
I hate when my favorite cheese sells out for the year.
I am hoping to eat more greens in 2025.
my health
my friends & family
my art practice
my workout routine
2024 update! I hit 335 consecutive days of moving my body for at least 30 minutes daily/closing the rings on my Apple watch in December. Total workouts for 2024= 357!
I have been tracking it with my monthly printable. Coloring boxes in is quite motivating. You can read about how I created my workout routine here.
I also continued the habit of waking up with no screens for the first half hour of the day and it’s been SO good. It took me a few weeks to make it a real habit and I am glad I did.
If you want to join me on this journey of self-reflection, pick up one of my Currently Workbooks in my Etsy shop.
I’ll have more in the shop soon if they sell out. If you’re international, you can order one through blurb.
If you need some accountability in your week, I host a group on Sunday mornings, called Self-Check-In. We go over our Intentions for the Week and check in with our calendars (I use my planner!). I will also be hosting a journal night twice a month to catch up on our currently workbooks together.
I hope your January goes well! Take good care of YOU and remember to leave a trail of magic behind this month. START when you’re ready. Your future self will thank you!
