Here are my September pages in my Currently Workbook. Watch it unfold in the video above.
Up close!
I freaking love chrome pens!
Let’s get into the month!
On Labor Day, I went into the city for a photo adventure with friends to shoot FILM. Here’s what I took with me:
I wrote about packing a day adventure bag on my blog a long time ago. It came in handy. Here we are!
We spent the day shooting pics around the DeYoung Museum and SF Botanical Garden.
What a trip it is not to be able to see the photo you took right away. I still have to get my film developed…
It’s also a curious thing to see how you’re captured while you’re capturing photos. Thanks for the snap, Marco! I felt super inspired to have a day filled with creative play.
Had a few adventure dates with friends this month. Went to a random estate sale with Neiley and found a box I had in college. I didn’t buy it but thought about that college apartment I had for like 15 minutes. I love estate sales.
I fell in love with a new pen this month too. I’m quite excited about it.
(You can see more of my favorite pens here)
I did a lot of shadow work this month. Whew.
I also worked on a new design for the Currently Workbook for next year.
Hooray for changing things up!
We took Cooper to see Brian Regan this month. He was so good in person. We had front-row seats!
The Birdcage
Adam Sandler- Love You
Monsters: The Lyle & Erik Menendez Story
All Fours by Miranda July I love her and am enjoying listening to this while I edit photos. (Do we consider it reading or listening?)
pages from my hobonichi cousin for I LOVE LISTS this month:
We put out FOUR episodes of Keep Grief Weird in September! We also closed out our first season (we’ll be back! We are just taking a little break).
This month marks a year that we’ve been working on this project. It’s been a labor of love and has provided so much self-reflection and healing this past year. I am so grateful to work together with MC on this. In the past few months, I’ve learned how to produce/edit podcasts- both audio and video. Hooray for growth!
(We are starting to put together video episodes for our paid subscribers on Substack! Thank you so much for your support!)
Songs that I was hooked on this month:
I use this song to work around the house with:
Forgot I knew all the lyrics to this song:
This is a whole mood:
Because it’s Autumn:
A Halloween mood/vibe:
I did meal prep a few times this month! Got back into the swing of things.
Banana Oat Cookies - made twice this month.
Made dinner at my Uncle’s house with the fish he caught. YUM.
Learned how to twist bacon for baking. It means you can add more to the baking sheet.
Day date with Casey at Souvla.
We also went on another date night to Buckeye and I forgot how much I like blue cheese.
Celebrating fig season. I’m grateful for friends who stuff me with food before I leave their house. Thanks, Annie.
Also tri-tip salad for the win!
I’ve been adding frozen fruit to Greek yogurt with chia seeds.
Hooray for a good wedge salad. This one is from Perry’s.

My movement streak is going strong!! I hit 242 consecutive days of moving my body for at least 30 minutes daily/closing the rings on my Apple watch in September.
I have been tracking it with my monthly printable. Coloring boxes in is quite motivating. You can read about how I created my workout routine here.
I hope your October goes well! Take good care of YOU and remember to leave a trail of magic behind this month. Your future self will thank you!
