Ok! I showed you how I play around with the weekly section of my hobonichi cousin. Now let’s move into the month section. In the hobonichi, each month is separated by a color tab (in the paper) and includes a blank page that begins the new month.
See?
I suppose it could be a good page for listing monthly goals. Since this is more of an art journal, I spend a few minutes decorating mine at the beginning of each month. You know how much I like to play with a month.
This is how I played with each month's page of my Hobonichi Cousin in 2024.
January started with a breakdown of my word for the year.
February is all about love.
March is when we spring forward. ———→
April is when I dream of flowers and start all the seeds.
May is the craziest month if you’re a parent with a child in school. ALLLLL THE COMMITMENTS. I lose track of time by this part of the year.
June is when I get a new lease on life. It’s the halfway point to the year and it reminds me to revisit my intentions for the year and look at my progress.
July is when my flowers start popping and I can make arrangements and fill my house with color.
August is my birth month. The sunshine reminds me how important it is for my spirit, being a LEO.
September is back-to-school time. I love a supply list and a chance to look over my binder system for food & time to get back in school mode after Summer. I also start organizing a homework station.
October is when everything turns color. A color range I’ve enjoyed more as I’ve aged….
November is my grief month. I lean more into my spiritual practices during this time of year. It takes a lot to conjure the holiday spirit.
December is a month of light rituals and evaluation.
All the months!
I love this. I think November is my favourite. Amd Feb is fab! 🫶🏻
