OK, so you know how was telling you about how I opened up a P.O. Box and invited penpals into my life? This is how I started it.

When I got a letter from someone, I sent them one back on this piece of paper (a photocopy of A Good Deed Brightens a Dark World print I lettered). On the letter I asked them to fill things in and send it back to me. That way I could have an idea of who I was talking to! It was so much fun seeing what came back!

Here’s one I sent to Lydia. She drew my cats!

Lydia was inspired by my Currently posts and wrote one up for herself, including a bucket list! She drew all of these illustrations and I was so happy to receive them.

She sent me something to fill out and I realized I never sent it to her!

I wrote it in today for her :)

This type of correspondence was later translated into my Currently Workbooks. If you have one, you’ll see that I have the lineup of favorite things for you to fill in in the front.

Here’s a letter that really made me smile because Mollie knew I have a thing for Einstein! I smiled AGAIN today when I pulled it out of my letters box.

Isn’t it cute? And there are Einstein sticker quotes too! Her boy must be getting big!

I am so grateful that people take the time to share sweetness.

I am glad that I have the ability to make a “home” here on the internet. Your words of encouragement have kept me going all of these years. Especially on the days I really want to give up.
